Have you been ‘pinged’ for your Unimog lifting points (AKA Elephant Ears)? It’s only a matter of time!

If you didn't know, U1700 Lift Points are actually illegal in Australia.

The NHVR is intensifying its enforcement on protrusions at the front of heavy vehicles across Australia, including Unimogs. What once fell under a ‘pre-existing non-conforming modification’ is now subject to stricter scrutiny, making it essential to remove these lift points.

To address this, we’ve developed the Unimog Lift Point Delete Kit.

The kit is supplied ready to fit, finished in Unidan's durable HD Black Powder Coat, and includes all necessary fastenings. Please note that all images also feature Unidan ADR Compliant Recovery Points, which are sold separately.

These recovery points are rated to 9,000kg each and satisfy the following requirements:

  • ADR 42/04 General Safety Requirements
  • ADR 92/00 External Protrusions
  • ADR 69/00 Full Frontal Impact Occupant Protection
  • Australian Standard AS 4876.1
  • Heavy Vehicle (Vehicle Standards) National Regulation clause 7 Protrusions
